SuperStroke, since introducing its first line of oversized putter grips in 2009, is one of a handful of companies that have created a paradigm shaft in the golf equipment. Callaway Golf’s original Big Bertha “oversized’ driver, the Titleist Pro V1 ball franchise, and Softspikes, each also fit into that category.
Major champions such as Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy each have recorded victories with the company’s oversized putter grips.
But did you know that 15 players on the PGA Tour have won using using a traditionally sized and shaped Pistol Series SuperStroke grip – the latest being Finland’s Sami Valimaki at this past weekend RSM Classic?
Using a SuperStroke Zenergy Pistol 1.0 putter grip, Valimaki became the Tour’s first Finnish winner.
SuperStroke calls the Pistol series a “modern take’’ on a beloved classic. These putter grips, according to the company, merge a pistol-style top section that helps golfers lock in their upper hand position with “No Taper Technology” to help golfers maintain even grip pressure and boost the consistency of their strokes.
