 Bridgestone Golf will close its Covington, GA., ball manufacturing and testing facility effective June 30, 2026. Parent Bridgestone Sports Co., Ltd., said the decision is part of the company’s efforts to “optimize its global supply chain” and strengthen the foundation of its global golf business The company said the decision comes after a thorough assessment of the increasing volatility in global markets and evolving challenges related to supply chain, operational efficiency, and cost management.

Closing the Covington plant impacts 86 employees in manufacturing roles. Bridgestone Golf corporate and business operations roles located at the Covington campus are being retained. These roles will be relocated to a new headquarters in Georgia by the end of the year.
