Amid a $100 million renovation, The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, has partnered with luxury travel brand TUMI to showcase the resort’s reopening in December 2025. The collaboration will feature immersive storytelling activations at the TUMI stores in New York City and Miami Beach during Miami Art Week (Dec. 1-7), offering an exclusive first look at the inspiration behind the resort’s redesigned spaces. At the center of the collaboration is a one-of-a-kind TUMI luggage collection interpreted by Paris-born, London-based artist Louis-Nicolas “Louis” Darbon, whose contemporary artistry bridges fashion, luxury, and street culture.
The luggage collection and window display will be available for public viewing on Nov. 6, at Rockefeller Center in New York City, before traveling to Miami for a public viewing on Dec. 3 on Lincoln Road. during Miami Art Week. The collection will return to The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami, where it will be auctioned to benefit The Sutton Trust, with all proceeds donated directly through The Ritz-Carlton Community Footprints Fund in support of the brand’s longstanding commitment to the global community. Reservations for the newly renovated property are now open, with stays beginning Dec. 8, allowing guests to be among the first to experience the resort.
A long-time artist partner of The Ritz-Carlton, Darbon has brought his expressive style to the brand’s global stages, from wrapped cars at Formula 1 races to vibrant hotel murals and playful reinterpretations of the iconic lion and crown. His creative versatility and modern sensibility make him the ideal collaborator for The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami x TUMI installation. He is known for his portraits of cultural icons and bespoke collaborations with leading luxury brands and hotels, and his work has been exhibited around the world, from London and Los Angeles to Tokyo and Marrakech.
Guests are invited to explore the resort through the eyes of Louis. For this collaboration, 12 curated TUMI luggage pieces from the 19 Degree collection, serve as canvas and narrative. Each piece showcases Louis’s signature techniques, including spray paint, Krink paint, hydro-dip, and hand-painted details, blending street art influences with the refined aesthetics of high-end luxury. The collection transforms functional travel pieces into sophisticated works of art, reflecting a contemporary vision of modern luxury.
The experience will feature a live-action window display at Rockefeller Center by Louis, accompanied by immersive sensory activations, including wellness rituals, signature flavors and cocktails from the resort’s kitchens and bars, subtle coastal aromas, curated textures inspired by the redesigned spaces, andambient soundscapes reflecting the serenity of the oceanfront setting. Together, these elements evoke the calm, luxury, and artistry of the redesigned resort, offering guests an engaging journey through its elevated design and style.
