Team USA Golf Events and Visit Canton each have announced that the 4th Annual Team USA National Championships will be played on two of the city’s finer golf courses on Aug. 23-24 – the Quarry GC and Glenmoor CC.
Amateur Golfers from across the United States compete in one of Five Flights. No USGA-GHIN Handicap is required to participate. Billed as the “Greatest Prize in Amateur Golf”, five Flight winners will be crowned Team USA National Champions in Canton. Those five Team USA National Champions win a trip to The Home of Golf, St. Andrews, Scotland.
While in Scotland they will play some of the top links courses in the world, get their pictures taken on the iconic Swilcan Bridge in front of the R&A Clubhouse and of course compete against Team Scotland in a two day competition.
The event, founded by Randy Tantlinger, owner of Team USA Golf Events, begins Aug. 22at The Brew Kettle Pub and Restaurant in the Hall of Fame Village. Round 1 will be played on Aug. 23 at the Quarry GC, .followed by the “Cutwater Spirits” charity fundraiser that will raise funds for The Autism Society of Canton and The Green Beret Charitable Trust.
The championship round will be held at the venerable Glenmoor Country Club. Five Team USA National Champions will be honored with “The Sword of Champions’’ and win the trip to St. Andrews, Scotland in 2026!
