Kress, the North American standard bearer in battery-powered outdoor equipment, as well as robotics, is working this week at Royal Portrush. The company has announced the latest wave of premiere golf courses that have adopted its technology, including autonomous robotic lawn mowers and commercial outdoor power equipment.

The latest adopters include Royal Portrush Golf Club, site of this week’s Open Championship, and  Manor House Golf Club in Wilshitr, UK, as well as top-ranked North American clubs, including The Santaluz Club, Valley Brook Country Club, Pasatiempo Golf Course and Longboat Key Club.

Kress is redefining golf course maintenance with cutting-edge robotic mowers. Developed with RTKn positioning and Mowing Action Plan Technology, Kress’ line of robotic the company says the mower allows for boundary wire-free mowing while providing centimeter-level accuracy for multizone management on the course.

Thanks to Kress’ proprietary network, courses can achieve full coverage of their entire property by tapping into the existing network or through the simple installation of a single antenna on the clubhouse or maintenance facilities. And unlike other brands in the market, Kress antennas are owned and managed by Kress, meaning there are no  monthly subscription fees and Kress will cover the cost of installation.

“Golf courses across the country, and the world, are converting to Kress technology to save money and time while improving the overall health of their turf,” says Tim Barrier, Kress golf business development manager. “It takes revolutionary technology to accomplish these benefits. With Kress’ proprietary RTK navigation system, our mowers operate from the clubhouse to the fairway with extreme precision.”
