JW Marriott Tampa Water Street and Tampa Marriott Water Street each have named Stefan Ritter as the Dual Director of Operations. Ritter will lead and manage the day-to-day operational strategy and execution at the sister properties, which serve as cornerstones of Tampa’s thriving hospitality scene in the dynamic Water Street Tampa neighborhood.
“Stefan’s proven track record and deep operational expertise make him an ideal choice for this pivotal role,” said Ron McAnaugh, the hotels’ Area General Manager. “Having already demonstrated exceptional leadership at Tampa Marriott Water Street, he now brings that same dedication and insight to his expanded role overseeing the collection.”
Ritter will oversee key operational initiatives across both properties, ensuring a seamless guest experience while also guiding teams to elevate service standards, and continuing to drive strategic growth and innovation. Located along the city’s revitalized waterfront near the convention center and Amalie Arena, the hotels offer a distinct blend of luxury and comfort through curated culinary experiences and wellness-focused amenities.

Ritter brings over two decades of progressive hospitality experience, having held executive leadership positions within Marriott International at multiple notable properties, including Tampa Marriott Water Street, Tampa Renaissance International Plaza, and Tampa Airport Marriott. Since joining Tampa Marriott Water Street in 2017 as Resident Manager and subsequently as Director of Operations from 2020 onward,
