Located at South Beach’s renovated Art Deco boutique hotel – Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel – Solei is designed to deliver an experience inspired by the chic, effortless spirit of coastal Spain, blending the Mediterranean’s laid-back charm with South Beach’s signature buzz.
Solei Beach Club, which faces the ocean, offers an open to the public experience, transporting guests to the Spanish Riviera with a casually sophisticated atmosphere, including plush seating arrangements and dining tables beneath a thatched palapa, all awash with the sound of the nearby ocean.
The setting at Solei isn’t the only star. The robust menu, rooted in quality ingredients, is designed for sharing, starting with Raw Bar featuring oysters, ceviche, octopus carpaccio, and a decadent “Seafood Colosseum” – oysters, Caribbean lobster, P.E.I mussels, Quahog clams, and ceviche du jour with caviar or stone crab add-ons for a soupçon of luxury.
An array of “Pintxos” (small snack or appetizer), include selections such as such as a mezze board resplendent with pimento hummus, cilantro tzatziki, pistachio-mint whipped feta, falafel, crispy halloumi, chargrilled artichoke and eggplant, Marcona almonds, herbed olives, and pita points. Shrimp Ajillo, with red med shrimp, garlic-dill chardonnay butter, elephant garlic, and Persian lime along with Chicken Drumettes of Joyce farms lollipops, Malta-lime glaze, and fresh chives are also great for shared bites.
The creative mind behind the menu is Executive Chef Gastón Javier Sanchez, whose inspiration for the Solei Beach Club experience is rooted in the spirit of the Mediterranean’s rich diversity, vibrant culture, and timeless sense of enchantment. fused seamlessly with the energy and flavors of South Florida.
“It’s about bringing that global coastal essence right here to our Miami Beach backyard, creating something that feels both transportive and deeply local,’’ he said.
Sanchez’ expertise shines most brightly with signature large dishes, from shrimp and chicken paella to tahini salmon – Yin Yang sesame-crusted wild salmon with herbed tahini, green mint oil, pomegranate arils, pinoli nuts, golden spiced cauliflower, Aleppo pepper, and fleur de sel.
Dishes like watermelon chess salad, lobster roll, and a variety of pizzas are perfect for summer. The Basque-style pistachio cheesecake and Key Lime pie are highlights of the not to be missed dessert offerings.
The bar program serves handcrafted cocktails with coastal flavors. Signature pours here offer a balanced mix of emboldened classics, such as Spicy Señorita (Mezcal and Tequila Blanco) and the Italian Margarita (Campari and Cointreau). Tropical notes can be found in the Ibiza Sunset with its blend of strawberry, passionfruit and fresh lime, and in the refreshing elegance of the Gin Mare.
Solei’s top signature cocktail – the frozen Passion Du Solei – includes Bhakta “Surfcomber’s Private Blend.” Classics with elevated twists will surprise, such as the Paloma Real and An Evening in Barcelona, adding sophistication and familiarity.

Solei boasts its exclusive branded rosé, selected to reflect the energy and elegance of the Marbella coast, sun-drenched days, beachside music, and effortless luxury. From DAOU Vineyards, this bright, crisp rosé with balanced freshness makes it the perfect rosé for warm days and vibrant afternoons in South Beach. In addition, the daily rosé “ritual” treats guests to $5 glasses at 3PM accompanied by a DJ.
