Payntr Golf continues to evolve as a golf footwear innovator, this time in a new product category, with the X Trainer XC 001, in partnership with Carbitex, a leading materials partner to top global brands in the performance footwear market.

Designed to provide athletes with a competitive advantage in their athletic prowess, Payntr Golf says the X Trainer XC 001 is a “versatile training shoe’’ equipped with its groundbreaking propulsion technology that revolutionized performance in golf footwear. The product is currently available in six colorways for a retail price of $180 per pair.

“The common thread (between the X Trainer XC 001 and Payntr golf golf shoes) is the propulsion plate,,’’ Payntr Golf President and Co-Founder Mike Forsey told me. “The difference in the technology of our Carbitex GearFlex propulsion plate is that, in our golf shoes, it’s rigid in both directions. In (the X Trainer Xc 001) it’s rigid one direction and rigid in the other.

“It’s super light weight, you have the kind of propulsion. Biut the other thing that sets us apart, whether it’s in golf or training, is that we put the plate in a cavity, because you get no energy return if it’s sitting on the surface.

The original intent with the X Trainer XC 001, Forsey said, was to create a running shoe that also could be worn in the gym. That was accomplished thanks to woven jacquard upper that weaves TPU thread for lateral support with nylon thread for lightweight flexibility, combating abrasion and ensuring durability.

“The toe-spring, and the heel-to-toe offset, is the same of as a running shoe. But it also has lateral stability,’’ Forsey said. “Any kind of lateral movements you have in the gym – this shoe is good for that – but it’s also runnable.’’
