The Seagate in Delray Beach has a new executive chef. Dmitriy Kakuschke will oversee its Hotel, Beach Club, Yacht Club, and Golf Club culinary operations teams.

Kakuschke recently joined The Seagate from the 4-Diamond JW Marriott luxury hotel in Nashville,  where he served as executive chef at Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak. During his tenure at Bourbon Steak, Kakuschke’s efforts helped garner honorable distinctions, including ‘Top 10 Fine Dining Restaurant in the Country’, ‘Top 1% of Restaurants Worldwide’, and ‘Best Restaurant in Nashville’.

Kakuschke spent three years as the steakhouse’s executive sous chef, a position retained upon the restaurant’s opening in 2018. Chef Dmitriy previously served as an associate of the Fontainebleau Hotel and Resort in Miami Beach, Florida and chef at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, Kakuschke grew up in South Florida and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Miami, Florida. In his new role at The Seagate, Kakuschke will oversee the property’s culinary program and spearhead new seasonal menus.

The Seagate is a 154-room property located on trendy Atlantic Avenue and a three-minute stroll from the Atlantic Ocean.
