McKibbon Hospitality has added three greater Miami hotels to its growing management portfolio. Owned by Miami-based hospitality real estate investment and development firm, OPB Capital Group, the properties include Regency Miami Airport by Sonesta, Aloft Miami Doral, and Element Miami Doral.

“We are excited to forge a new relationship with OPB Capital Group who have entrusted us to operate these three unique properties” said Bruce Baerwalde, president of McKibbon Hospitality. “We look forward to working alongside them and the properties’ onsite leadership teams to elevate guest experiences and expand our reach in this thriving and evolving market.”

Regency Miami Airport by Sonesta, the first Sonesta-branded franchise property, has 176 pet-friendly guest rooms, 8,000 square feet of meeting space, an onsite full-service restaurant, bar and lounge, and an inviting outdoor pool. Having recently undergone a full-scale renovation incorporating all-new modern, tropical-inspired furniture, fixtures and décor throughout, guests can enjoy both comfort and convenience with the Port of Miami and Miami International Airport each just short drives away.

The dual-branded Aloft Miami Doral and Element Miami Doral feature 145 guest rooms and 139 guest rooms, respectively as well as a combined 3,221 square feet of meeting space. Each brand is pet-friendly with a shared outdoor patio and pool.

With contemporary and vibrant design elements, Aloft Miami Doral proudly welcomes free spirits seeking adventure. Guests can connect over handcrafted cocktails and draft beer at the WXYZ Bar, soak up the sounds of emerging local musicians through the brand’s Live at Aloft acoustic series, stock up on snacks for at Re:fuel, the hotel’s 24-hour pantry, or work up a sweat at the Re:charge gym.

Element Miami Doral features open and airy guestrooms complete with full in-room kitchens. Continental breakfast is served daily with the hotel’s onsite restaurant, 107 Steak & Bar, serving fusion dishes, cocktails and an extensive wine and whiskey list.

“Handing over your portfolio is no easy undertaking. It is a matter of trust, confidence, and ensuring the values and vision for the future of the business are aligned” said Paulette Padron, vice president of Sales & Business Strategy for OPB Capital Group. “We believe we have found that with McKibbon, being owners as well as operators provides us the ease of knowing that they hold the employees’ wellbeing just as high as those of the investors”.

The three new hotels add a total of 460 new guest rooms to McKibbon’s overall portfolio, bringing the total number of guest rooms to 12,310.
