Louis Vuitton will exhibit selected works by a curated ensemble of some of the world’s more the world’s more renowned artists as part of Art Basel Miami Beach, Dec. 1-3 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

Standout artist collaborations on display in the Louis Vuitton lounge will include two wax figures of Yayoi Kusama, created by the artist herself; a panda figure sculptureby Takashi Murakami on a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk; paintings by Richard Princeand Alex Katz; a photo by Jean Larivière; and the now iconic Artycapucines collection.

As a celebration of the Maison’s relationship with Yayoi Kusama – and to mark the 10-year anniversary of the first collaboration – exclusive new pieces will be showcased for the first time as a teaser of the upcoming collaboration. By participating in the 20th anniversary of Art Basel Miami Beach, the Maison confirms its committed relationship to the arts – one that started nearly a century ago when Gaston-Louis Vuitton – the grandson of the Maison’s founder – began commissioning artists to collaborate with the Maison on advertisements and perfume bottles.

In addition, Germane Barnes, winner of the 2022 Miami Design District Annual Design Commission, will show off his his highly-anticipated installation, Rock | Roll

Drawing inspiration from the BIPOC communities who have shaped Miami’s polyethnic culture, Rock | Roll features a series of seating capsules that rock back-and-forth when activated by users. Curated by Anava Projects, Rock | Roll will be placed across the Miami Design District’s public spaces, as well as at the entrance of Design Miami.

Also during the week, Mario Carbone is hosting a pop-up boutique for his brand “Our Lady of Rocco’’ the coveted clothing line inspired by the sartorial flair of 1980s New York City. The latest collection, OLOR Part II, consists of looks ranging from tracksuits, tees, and bomber jackets to handmade suits.

 The Basel pop-up is the only place to find the one-of-a-kind vintage suits by the legendary Nino Cerruti, which were handpicked by Mario and reworked to include Rocco’s signature lining and brass buttons. Tailors will be on hand throughout this strictly limited engagement. The Our Lady of Rocco pop-up at ZZ’s Club runs now through Dec. 3. Doors open at noon on each day.
