Mission Resort + Club, one of Florida’s more historic golf and resort destinations – and an MMI Hospitality Group property – will debut the Mission Resort + Club Ladies Team Championship on Oct. 9–11, 2026. Located among the rolling hills of Howey-in-the-Hills of Central Florida, Mission Resort + Club is best known for its two courses, multiple dining venues, and warm hospitality.
The event will feature female golfers of all skill levels to compete in a 36-hole, two-player team format across the resort’s El Campeón and Las Colinas courses. El Campeon, designed by George O’Neil and opened in 1917, is one of Florida’s older courses. It’s elevation changes of up to 60 feet make a stern, yet fair, test of shotmaking skills.
Beyond the competition, the curated weekend will include a welcome reception, private dinner with live entertainment, exclusive player gifts, and an awards luncheon.
The new championship is the first in a planned series of annual amateur events at Mission Resort + Club, with men’s, couples, and scramble competitions slated for 2027. It reflects the continued growth of women’s golf and the resort’s long track record hosting professional, collegiate, and amateur tournaments.
“We’re excited to create an event that celebrates competition and camaraderie,” said Bryan Mulry, PGA, director of golf at Mission Resort + Club. “Our goal is to provide an exceptional tournament experience while showcasing the hospitality and championship golf that have made Mission Resort + Club a premier golf destination for generations.”
