Glamping the Texas Hill Country. JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa is offering guests a luxurious take on camping known as “glamping.” Guests can enjoy nature while also indulging in indoor comfort, room service, and even massages at one of the Hill Country’s more popular resorts.
.The Hill Country surroundings provide an ideal backdrop for camping – and glamping – experiences. To eliminate the hassles of outdoor camping, the resort offers a “Glamp In The Great Indoors” package. This package includes a luxury suite designed to resemble outdoor camping, complete with an indoor tent, sleeping bags, and more. The suite is spacious and suitable for families or groups of friends. Guests can roast marshmallows by the fire pit and listen to camping-themed music.
The resort spans 600 acres of picturesque landscapes and offers various amenities, including water parks, the Oaks and Canyons golf courses, a spa and various dining opportunities. ,The “Glamp In The Great Indoors” package is available based on availability and excludes large groups, gratuities, taxes, and resort fees.
JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa also is now offering a luxury Pet Retreat Package for dogs, allowing families to bring their canine companions on vacation. The package includes uniquely decorated guest rooms with walk-out patios for easy access to the resort’s lawns, providing comfort and convenience for dogs. Each room comes with a dog bed, water and food bowls, and a blanket. Dogs receive a welcome amenity with a chew toy, treats, and a bandana to make their stay memorable.
While the resort is not typically pet-friendly, this package exclusively caters to canine guests, with all service animals welcome. Pets are allowed on walk-out patio lawns and resort walking trails but are not permitted in public hotel spaces, dining areas, event lawns, or the River Bluff Water Experience. The resort offers scenic walking and running trails suitable for dogs and their owners.
On the culinary side, Crooked Branch, the resort’s lobby lounge, has recently debuted a new Asian-inspired menu. The menu features dishes including Wagyu Tataki with Nanami Togarashi, Carrot, Cucumber, and Spicy Ponzu; Octopus Sunomono with Miso Braised Octopus, Shaved Cucumber, Pepper Flake, and Sweet Sesame Vinaigrette; and a Pork Belly Bao Buns with Pickled Vegetable Slaw, Crunchy Garlic Aioli, and Micro-Cilantro. Cocktails include a Matcha No. 5 with gin, matcha simple syrup, yuzu, and prosecco and Lychee No-Hano with lychee, lemongrass infused vodka, yuzu, and sparkling rosé.
