A piece of West Coast golf history has received a major new addition: McMenamins’ historic Gearhart Hotel in Gearhart (OR), today opened its Sand Trap Suite , designed specifically for golf getaways at Gearhart Golf Links (1892), regarded as the oldest course west of the Mississippi.
Located just steps from Oregon’s sprawling coastline, Gearhart has long been a bucket-list round for players chasing firm, fast fairways and rugged, links-style play. With public rounds ranging from $85-$150 depending on season, Gearhart Golf Links remains one of the most accessible historic courses in the US.

The Sand Trap Suite is part of a broader property refresh, including a newly redesigned front desk check-in and a new gift shop, opening March 12.
