Diamante Cabo San Lucas, a 1,500-acre oceanfront master-planned community along the Pacific coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, has introduced Legacy Golf Club, an ultra-exclusive private golf and recreation club limited to 250 families and anchored by the new Legacy Course, a Tiger Woods–designed layout that stands as TGR Design’s most ambitious international project to date. The course is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027.

Diamante is the only private residential golf community in North America that simultaneously hosts a PGA Tourevent, holds a world top-100-ranked course, and operates along Pacific Ocean frontage.

The Legacy Course will mark Woods’ third creation at Diamante, joining El Cardonal and the Oasis Short Course – continuing a body of work that has helped define the region as a world-class golf destination.

Conceived as “an oasis in the desert,” the Legacy Course transports golfers from the open desert landscape of southern Baja into a secluded, lush environment that is exceptionally rare in a coastal desert region – the result of a level of vision, ambition, and investment rarely attempted anywhere in the world.

At the heart of the Legacy Course is the most extensive array of water features ever designed into a golf course in Mexico. The course is interwoven with five lakes connected by a network of flowing streams and punctuated by multiple cascades and waterfalls. The features serve as both strategic hazards demanding precision and as the serene, resort-like soul of the property.

Framing the holes is lush, tropical landscaping of remarkable density, including thousands of trees and an array of colorful understory and ground cover planted to immerse players in greenery and transform the desert terrain into a living garden.

Anchoring the course’s signature aesthetic are grand, deep white sand bunkers – bold architectural statements that challenge golfers of every level while evoking the timeless beauty of the world’s great courses.

Encircling nearly the entire property is a dramatic, landscaped man-made dune, engineered to enclose the course in privacy and seclusion. More than a buffer, this feature creates the sense of arrival into a world apart – a private sanctuary set within, yet distinct from, the surrounding Baja landscape.

“Legacy Course combines tournament-caliber strategy with an unforgettable visual experience,” Woods said. “From drivable par fours and long par fives to deep bunkers, movement in the greens and dramatic water features including creeks, waterfalls and lakes, every element was designed to create a world-class golf experience that is both challenging and enjoyable. It will look and play unlike anything else at Diamante.”

The Legacy Golf Club golf experience is supported by a 16-acre practice facility, featuring a dedicated short game area with chipping, bunker play, and putting greens, alongside a state-of-the-art practice range designed to serve players at every level.
