Cutalong at Tributer Resort, a Reef Capital Partners development along the shores of Lake Anna in Central Virginia, has named Virginia native Ian Sikes as its new General Manager. An accomplished golf operator and hospitality leader, Sikes will now lead one of the state’s most ambitious luxury destination golf and residential developments.
As General Manager, Sikes will oversee the golf operations, membership growth, food and beverage, hospitality programming, staffing, and the integration of expanding real estate offerings, including a planned golf course expansion. He will also work closely with the Reef Capital Partners and development leadership to guide the next phase of growth for Cutalong at Tributer Resort as it continues to evolve into one of the preeminent luxury destination golf properties in the country.
“Cutalong at Tributer Resort is a generational destination investment for Reef,” said Jared Lucero, Chief Executive Officer of Reef Capital Partners. “Ian understands what it takes to build a strong team culture while delivering an exceptional private club and resort experience. We are confident he will help strengthen the sense of community and distinction that defines this property.”
A graduate of the nearby University of Richmond, Sikes’ career spans a collection of highly regarded private clubs and destination properties, including Bedford Country Club, Teton Pines, Kinloch Golf Club, and Ballyhack Golf Club. At each stop, he developed a reputation for developing team culture and a highly personalized member experience. At Kinloch and Ballyhack – two nationally recognized private golf clubs – Sikes helped uphold service standards aligned with top-100-caliber golf, further expanding his expertise in the private club and resort-style community operations.
“For my family and I, this role is incredibly meaningful,” said Sikes. “Virginia has always been home, and the opportunity to represent a property as special as Cutalong at Tributer Resort is something I don’t take lightly. This has become a premier destination golf development with vision, momentum and authenticity. I’m excited to help build a culture that reflects the quality of the golf, luxury lifestyle, and overall community experience our members and guests deserve.”
The centerpiece of Cutalong at Tributer Resort is the 18-hole ccourse, designed by Virginia-based architect Tom Clark, and the lodge-style clubhouse overlooking the 18th green. The course, which pays homage to the Golden Age of Golf Course Architecture, is routed across terrain shaped by the region’s historic Gold-Pyrite Belt mining heritage. The clubhouse, the focal point of the property’s amenities, is anchored by Coopers Restaurant.
Members and guests will also enjoy the new Shenandoah Putting Course, short-game facilities, the Wildwood Pickleball complex, hiking and biking trails, a marina, and curated lakeside experiences. Other future amenities being developed include the Sanctuary Wellness Center and Casters fishing pond.
The broader master plan includes the first phase of the Cutalong at Tributer Resort real estate vision – seven golf villas and eight cottages opening in 2026, with a total of 22 and 34, respectively, upon full build-out. Members will own the villas and cottages, which are also accessible to unaccompanied outside resort guests seeking the ultimate golf escape. Luxury Stay & Play packages offer a taste of the experience, and are ideal for buddy trips, family weekends, or couples looking to sample the destination golf lifestyle.
This world-class development, designed for a distinguished, golf-centered lifestyle, blends an exclusive golf membership and modern luxurious real estate with lakeside recreation, amenities, and wellness within a community-oriented retreat.
