Callaway Golf has launched Quantum MiniSpinner, it says is a “top-of-the-bag” solution designed for golfers who need more spin, control, and confidence when attacking greens from distance. These new offerings will be available at retail starting on Aug. 14. The Quantum Mini Spinner is available is 7W, 9W, and 11W at a cost of $379.99 each.
Engineered with a compact, deep profile and optimized for higher spin, the Quantum Mini Spinner lineup delivers the stopping power and precision players often struggle to achieve with traditional fairway woods or hybrids. Built to bridge the gap between woods and irons, it gives golfers the control they need to take aim and hold the green.
The Mini Spinner has recently been released in Japan, where, according to Callaway, it’s already the #1 selling fairway wood model in the market.
“We really feel like we’ve created a new category here with a product that’s going to solve a problem for a wide range of players,” said Jacob Davidson, Callaway VP of Global Product Strategy. “We refer to the Quantum Mini Spinner as the Scoring Wood. It’s a new option in the top of the bag, for players who want the launch of a high lofted fairway wood and a steeper descent angle and more spin for greater stopping power.”
This unique construction and spec package, Davidson said, features a high center of gravity paired with an Ai-optimized high-spin face design. This combination promotes increased spin, enhanced stopping power, and tighter dispersion for more controlled approach shots.
Designed with a playing length that is 0.75” shorter than a traditional fairway wood, promoting more consistent impact and improved control through the hitting zone. A taller face profile provides added confidence and versatility, offering more usable face area for improved contact – especially from the rough.
Refined specifically for the Mini Spinner, the Step Sole minimizes turf interaction to promote cleaner strikes and more consistent center-face contact. Plus, in the 7W and 9W A lightweight carbon sole allows mass to be repositioned higher in the head, raising the center of gravity to generate increased spin—resulting in enhanced control.
“We wanted something that was a little bit more repeatable, a little bit more consistent,” said Evan Gibbs, Sr. R&D Director – Woods. “And the way that this club sets up with a shorter length, it’s more approachable. Impact locations are going to be a lot more consistent. Players are going to tend to hit a little bit more down on it and feel that they can do that with a deeper face. The big performance difference is going to be the increased spin rate, which is going to provide more consistency and less roll out when it lands on the green.”
