Black Desert in St. George, Utah and CADDIEMASTER, have signed a partnership deal to further elevate the golf experience at the new, highly-acclaimed course designed by Tom Weiskopf. The partnership began this past March with CADDIEMASTER facilitating the day-to-day operations of Black Desert’s caddie program by providing forecaddie services to guests.
Since opening in May 2023, the daily fee golf experience and service at Black Desert have been five star, with 15-minute tee time intervals, food and beverage included with green fees, a text service for on-course, on-demand food and drink delivery, as well as high-tech carts with GPS and well-stocked coolers.
“Black Desert is already making a mark in the golf world and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it,” said Dan Costello, president of CADDIEMASTER.
When making tee times at Black Desert Resort Golf Course golfers will have a forecaddie assigned to their group, as the forecaddie fee is included in green fees (gratuities not included). During the round, forecaddies will track ball flights off the tee, provide yardages, read putts, and help the group maintain pace of play.
CADDIEMASTER, a Troon Company located in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., is the premier provider of caddie services, including turnkey management, technology, as well as training and consulting solutions. The company’s clients include Pebble Beach, Pinehurst Resort, Whistling Straits and approximately 70 other resort destinations and private clubs throughout the country and abroad.
Surrounded by red rock mountains and carved amid ancient black lava fields, Black Desert is the last golf course designed by Weiskopf prior to his passing away from pancreatic cancer in August of 2022. The course is characterized by the presence of ancient basalt rock formations seamlessly integrated into the landscape, creating a visually stunning contrast against the lush green fairways.
Reef Capital Partners is developing Black Desert Resort, which upon buildout, the property will offer 3000+ hotel rooms and residences; a concert venue; miles of trails through ancient lava flows; a waterpark; a wellness spa; and more than 250,000 square feet of retail and restaurants. In addition to the 19-hole, Weiskopf-designed golf course, guests of Black Desert will enjoy a 36-hole illuminated putting course for day or night play. The resort’s 19th Hole, an amphitheater-style lakeside-gathering place terraced into the black lava, will be the ultimate venue for winding down after a day of golf.
