B Resort & Spa, located in the Disney Springs Resort Area in Orlando, today announced the appointment of Kai Fischer as general manager, effective immediately. An industry veteran with more 30 years of hospitality experience, Fischer will oversee all aspects of the resort – including operations, sales, marketing and food & beverage – alongside the resort’s management company, Performance Hospitality Management. B Resort & Spa features amenities such as lon-site dining, a large zero-entry pool with interactive water features, jacuzzi, Kids Zone with games, and 24-hour B Activefitness center.
Throughout his career, Fischer has served in various hospitality leadership positions at prominent hotel and resort properties on the East Coast. After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he started his career by opening the Marriott Castle Harbour Bermuda as the food and beverage complex manager. Since that time, Fischer has worked his way up through numerous operational, sales and general manager positions at Marriott International, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and Hilton Worldwide.
Prior to his new role, Fischer served as the general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Westshore. Fischer led the repositioning of the 492-room hotel to be the provider of the area’s largest hotel and meeting space.
Fischer served as the general manager of Hilton Aventura Miami, a AAA Four-Diamond hotel located in North Miami. Previously, Fischer served as the multi-property director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, where he played an instrumental role in the $180 million renovation of the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.
