Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club has named Fiorenza Setaccioli as Director of Agronomy and Anna Kennedy as Landscaping Manager, strengthening senior leadership across its golf and grounds operations and reinforcing the resort’s long-term commitment to championship-level playing conditions, environmental stewardship, and an elevated guest experience at a time when excellence, precision, and long-term vision are increasingly defining elite golf operations.

Set on the idyllic Rendezvous Bay, Aurora Anguilla spans more than 300 acres, features 178 suites and is home to a collection of world-class amenities. The resort includes six restaurants and two bars and lounges, a 22,000-square-foot spa, and Aurora International Golf Course, and a nine-hole short course, Avalon Links, each designed by Greg Norman.

Setaccioli joins Aurora following an extensive international career in golf course management and agronomy, most recently serving as Golf Superintendent at Barbuda Ocean Club, a Discovery Land property, where she oversaw construction, grow-in, and full golf and grounds operations for a Tom Fazio–designed course. Her global experience spans elite properties across Europe, the United States, the Caribbean, and the Pacific, including The Los Angeles Country Club, Finca Cortesin, Valderrama, and multiple pre-opening projects.

A graduate of Michigan State University’s golf course management program, Setaccioli has also been selected since 2015 to work at Augusta National Golf Club during preparation for The Masters – an opportunity reserved for a highly limited group of experienced professionals trusted with the game’s most exacting standards.

Fiorenza Setaccioli

“Golf course management has always been about expertise, teamwork, and trust in the field,” said Setaccioli. “Over the years, I’ve seen the industry evolve to better reflect that reality, with more opportunities for experienced professionals to lead regardless of background. Aurora’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and long-term vision is what drew me here, and I’m proud to be part of shaping what comes next.”

Kennedy, a classically trained British horticulturalist with more than 35 years of experience managing and preserving the landscapes of Anguilla’s most prestigious luxury resorts, including Four Seasons Resort & Residences Anguilla, Cap Juluca, Malliouhana, and Coccoloba Hotel. Over the course of her career, Kennedy has progressed from landscaping manager to director-level leadership roles, overseeing large teams and complex resort grounds while maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Anna Kennedy

Known for her deep plant knowledge, people-first leadership style, and commitment to preserving local flora, Kennedy brings a stewardship-driven approach that aligns closely with Aurora’s vision for the property. Her leadership reflects the critical role grounds and landscape management play in shaping course performance and the overall guest experience.

“In this field, respect is earned through consistency, knowledge, and dedication,” said Kennedy. “Caring for the landscape is both a technical and human responsibility. When you lead with intention and respect the work, the results speak for themselves.”

Together, their appointments underscore a broader evolution within the golf industry, where leadership in agronomy and grounds management is increasingly defined by technical expertise, international experience, and long-term operational vision. Senior roles of this caliber demand deep institutional trust, consistency under pressure, and a commitment to standards that leave no margin for error.

“When you’re striving for championship-caliber conditions, every detail matters – from turf health to landscape stewardship to how the course supports instruction and player development,” said Scott DeLong, General Manager of Golf Operations. “Fiorenza and Anna have worked within environments where those standards are non-negotiable, and their leadership ensures Aurora operates at the highest level not occasionally, but every single day.”
