Horseshoe Bay Resort, along the shores of Lake Lyndon B. Johnson (Lake LBJ) in the Texas Hill Country, has announced its 2025 special event lineup, bringing a year-round calendar of exciting festivals, live music, holiday celebrations and family-friendly activities to one of the Lone Star State’s most sought-after destinations.
With more than 7,000 acres along Lake LBJ, the resort includes four golf courses, a lakeside spa, tennis and pickleball facilities, and an extensive marina.

11th Annual Balloons Over Horseshoe Bay Resort (April 18-20, 2025)
One of the more eagerly anticipated events of the year returns Easter Weekend that kicks off with a VIP party on Friday night featuring a Texas Hill Country Cowboy Cookout & Wine Tasting, live country music from Rick Huckaby and Tori Martin, plus a spectacular hot air balloon glow.
An early morning kicks off the Saturday festival from 6:30-10:00 a.m. as hot air balloons light up the sky. The morning festivities promise to be memorable with breakfast treats, Giant American Kites, and a helicopter Easter egg drop for the kids! The excitement continues into Saturday evening, from 4:00-9:00 p.m., with high-energy live music followed by an epic lineup of fun, including skydivers, kid’s games, face painters, food trucks, a retail market, and much more.
On Sunday, guests can get an Easter Brunch and witness the vibrant spectacle of balloons on Live Oak Lawn. Resort guests can choose between the one-night Saturday Festival Package or the two-night full VIP experience, both packages include Sunday Brunch. Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-26, 2025)
Dive into the return of the Waterfront Floating Pool and Splash Safari Aqua Park for the perfect unofficial start of summer. For those seeking adventure, head out on the constant-level Lake LBJ for thrilling water sports aboard the resort’s new fleet of Nautique boats or relax with a luxury chartered boat tour. New this year, enjoy “Dive-in” movie nights at the Tower Pool, adding even more excitement for guests. While soaking in the Texas Hill Country vibes, take the fun to the next level with the thrilling Bronco Off-Rodeo, the ultimate summer off-roading adventure. Fourth of July Weekend (July 4-7, 2025)
Prepare for a Fourth of July spectacular with fireworks lighting the skies over Lake LBJ. Discover a weekend packed with exhilarating activities, including the Splash Safari Aqua Park as guests can splash, jump, and conquer inflatable obstacles, slides, climbing walls and balance beams, or opt for lakefront lounging. Kids can enjoy The Jungle Kids Club, giving parents a chance to unwind at the resort’s Bayside Spa, or to play a round of golf, pickleball or tennis. 12th Annual Beer By The Bay Music Festival (Aug. 8-9, 2025)
Whether a true country music fan or just looking for a good time, this two-night extravaganza features a star-studded lineup of country artists, beer tastings of Texas’ favorite local breweries, and delicious award-winning menus with all-you-can-eat food stations. Set on the Live Oak Lawn, the 2025 festival will feature top-tier country music artists including Randy Rogers Band, Tracy Byrd, Aaron Tippin, Jason Boland & The Stragglers, Bart Crow, and Kody West.
Labor Day Weekend (Aug. 29-31, 2025)

20th Annual Wine, Dine & Jazz Festival (Nov. 6-7, 2025)
Celebrate two decades of incredible food, wine and jazz this November. The weekend begins with a luxurious five-course dinner paired with exquisite wines from top Texas Hill Country wineries on Friday evening. Saturday’s festivities feature three celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, a wine stroll with unlimited tastings, and world-class jazz performances.
On Thanksgiving Day, families and runners can participate in a 5K non-competitive walk/run, the 5K and 10K chip-timed races, or the Tot Trot for kids up to eight years old. After the races, enjoy a festive turkey feast and holiday activities. Medals will be awarded to the top male and female runners in each age division of the 5K and 10K chip-timed races.

In the heart of the Texas Wine Country, the holiday festivities continue at Horseshoe Bay Resort with an exclusive Wine Expo, where guests can taste their way through 30 prestigious wineries, experience delightful samplings and stock up for the holiday season by purchasing wines by the bottle or by the case directly from their favorite winery. The Wine Expo caps off with a live holiday concert.
Get the party started with live entertainment by The Grooves as you dance the night away to ring in the New Year. As the countdown to the new year begins, get ready for a spectacular Balloon Drop followed by a champagne toast.
