Pueblo Bonito Golf & Spa Resorts will unveil its new luxury brand with the debut of Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende on Feb. 15, 2025. The hospitality company’s first European Plan (EP) hotel, Pueblo Bonito Vantage will unite local Mexican traditions with technological comforts, singular experiences and personalized service.

Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, San Miguel de Allende – named the world’s best city and most enchanting destination by Travel + Leisure – has been charming visitors for nearly 500 years. The city is renowned for its baroque Spanish architecture, thriving arts scene, culinary experiences, and cultural celebrations.

Designed in a neo-colonial style, the hotel pays homage to the city’s architectural heritage while accentuating guest comfort. Its hacienda-style buildings comprise 111 guest rooms and suites in one wing; and 45 privately-owned villas and multi-bedroom condominiums in another. All rooms and residences feature terraces with views of the city’s historic downtown area, including its landmark neo-Gothic church, Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel.

“This is our first urban property, and we’re creating a totally different ambience with the Pueblo Bonito Vantage brand,” said Enrique Gandara, vice president of sales and marketing. “Guests will be immersed in elegance and a refined atmosphere, with a residential component and resort-style amenities.”

Arquitectura de Interiores and its president, Marisabel Gómez, oversaw the design of this exciting new project.

“The luxury of the new hotel is in the details,” Gomez said. “Our concept is that luxury is handmade, much like this beautiful city where Pueblo Bonito Vantage will premiere.”

Nearly all the décor in the hotel reflects a modern twist on an authentic San Miguel de Allende design motif. The beauty is in the subtle details. Mexican design elements are found in artwork, artifacts and textiles. Luxurious fabrics such as rich velvets, beautiful panels with nail-head details, and lavish area rugs adorn the public spaces.

The hotel’s entry hall and its tall wooden gates, when opened, will create a “visual layering” effect and a “wow” factor. Guests will see through and beyond the gates to the spires of the city’s iconic church, with a dozen of the city’s domes grouped below it.

Guest rooms feature luxury elements such as custom furniture, handmade ceramics, and high-tech lighting fixtures. In-room amenities include L’Occitane bath amenities (Bulgari amenities in suites), plush bathrobes, a luxurious pillow menu, Nespresso coffee machine, and electric kettle.

One of the main attractions will be the full-service Aromatika Spa, with a menu of lavish holistic care including facials, massages, full-body treatments, single and double treatment rooms, a hydrothermal circuit area, and locker areas for men and women. Other hotel facilities include a wellness center, fully equipped gym, beauty salon, bridal suite, and retail shop.

For guests who desire a completely immersive wellness experience, the hotel will offer custom-designed Wellness Suites that feature total darkness, enhanced noise insulation, bamboo linens, a daily wellness breakfast, plants that absorb electromagnetic waves, and a water decanter with gems for water cleansing, other among feel-good amenities.

Pueblo Bonito Vantage San Miguel de Allende is a pet-friendly hotel. Several dedicated ground floor guest rooms offer an array of services for guests traveling with four-legged friends: a pet menu, toy with your name (or your pet’s name) on it, and a 20-minute relaxation massage. Walks to Zeferino Gutierrez Park, which is adjacent to the hotel, are also available.

LaFrida, the hotel’s gourmet Mexican restaurant, will provide a consummate gastronomic experience, offering a show in coals and fire as well as top-shelf wines and cocktails. The dining room is a celebration of color, with indigo blue and raspberry-colored walls accented by antique Venetian mirrors. Chef Anaisa Guevera, selected among the Best New Chefs in Mexico 2024 by Food & Wine, will oversee the culinary operation at LaFrida.

The Tapas Bar, a spacious rooftop terrace, will serve drinks, tapas, and snacks. Casa Bistro, located on the main level, serves as the hotel’s casual full-service restaurant. ElCorazon will offer coffee, pastry and sandwiches. In-room dining will be available 24 hours a day.

Guests and residents can immerse themselves in the V Life program, a collection of unique experiences available at the San Miguel property. Based around four pillars – gastronomy, culture/art, history, and nature/lifestyle – V Life’s curated activities include language immersion, painting or sculpture classes, guided cultural walks of the city, cooking classes prefaced by a visit to a local market, a visit to a local bee farm, and tours of Guanajuato’s famed wineries.
