Yedla Management Company (YMC) has named Donnie Jenkins as Dual General Manager of its two Marriott properties located at Walt Disney World® Resort’s Flamingo Crossings Town Center in Orlando – Residence Inn by Marriott at Flamingo Crossings and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Flamingo Crossings.
In his new role, Jenkins will oversee day-to-day operations at the two newly opened resort hotels.
“Donnie is naturally focused on development, taking great pride in training his associates to help them meet and surpass their career goals,” said Michael MacCallum, regional director for Yedla Management Company. “It’s an exciting time at these two new properties at Flamingo Crossings and we can’t wait to see what Donnie and his team accomplish next.”
Jenkins joins Yedla with more than 12 years of experience in hotel management, primarily with the Marriott and Hilton brands. His expertise extends from opening new construction properties to rehabilitating older hotels to meet and exceed brand standards. Most recently, Jenkins managed the Courtyard by Marriott Charlotte Northlake in North Carolina, which was honored with the Marriott Gold Circle Award for Intent to Recommend.
The Residence Inn by Marriott and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott each opened within the past 14 months and are part of a four-resort complex located at Disney’s new shopping, dining and entertainment district, Flamingo Crossings Town Center. Each hotel located five minutes from the western entrance of Walt Disney World Resort and provide a quiet and convenient option for fun family vacations, weekend getaways and sports teams on the go.
