Blackbird Modern Asian on Oct. 21 will celebrate one year of glamorous, award-winning fine dining. The Jupiter, FL., eatery has garnered a faithful following of locals, celebrities, epicureans, and cocktail culturalists enamored by Executive Chef Tim Nickey’s elevated interpretation of classic Pan-Asian standards, as well as cocktail program.
In recognition of the anniversary, Blackbird Modern Asian co-owners Scott Frielich, Cleve Mash, and Angelo Abbenante will host a celebratory evening for the public from 4 p.m. until 1 a.m.
As guests enter, they will be greeted by geisha stilt walkers and ushered to their seats where they will be presented with gratis glasses of French bubbly for toasting. More geisha will perform interactive pyro theatrics throughout the evening and Joe Keit of Joe Keit Martial Arts and Tigers of Choy Lee Fut in Boynton Beach will lead two Chinese lion dances at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
West Palm Beach’s DJ James Simmons will spin everything from disco to EDM tracks from 8 p.m. to close. Upon departure, patrons will be gifted a decadent confection compliments of Blackbird’s executive pastry chef Denise Elrod.
Reservations will be accepted for tables of 8 or larger based on availability. Walk-ins and seating commence at 4 p.m.
