Medinah Country Club, one of the country’s more storied and decorated clubs, has named David P. Schneider as General Manager/Chief Operating Officer. Most recently, Schneider was GM/COO at Happy Hollow Club in Omaha, where he oversaw all club operations and assisted club leaders with strategic planning and fulfilling the vision and mission of the club.
Schneider is a member of the PGA of America and the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). He has extensive experience working at golf clubs and resorts around the country, including Wakonda Club (Des Moines), Ventana Golf and Racquet Club (Tucson), and Waikoloa Beach Resort (Hawaii).

Schneider joins the club at an exciting time in its storied history, with the renovation of Course #3 in full swing under the direction of OCM (Geoff Ogilvy, Mike Cocking, and Ashley Mead), an international golf course design and architecture firm. In addition, Medinah celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2024 and hosts the Presidents Cup in 2026.
Medinah Country Club, established in 1924, is approximately 25 miles west of Chicago. The club has hosted a BMW Championship, Ryder Cup, PGA Championships, U.S. Opens, U.S. Senior Open, and Western Opens.
The property includes 54 holes of golf on 640 acres, an iconic 120,000-square-foot Byzantine-style clubhouse, Golf Learning Center and Practice Facility, Racquet Center, Golf Shop, Skeet and Trap Lodge, and Pool.
