Toptracer is giving golfers across the globe the chance to compete against one another virtually at Pebble Beach, as its 9-Shot Challenge coincides with a women’s major championship for the first time ever, to celebrate the first staging of the U.S. Women’s Open at the historic venue.
The 9-Shot Challenge presented by the U.S. Women’s Open runs through July 9, with the Women’s U.S. Open taking place simultaneously from July 6-9 on Pebble Beach Golf Links along California’s Monterey Penisula.
This is the first time that Toptracer has launched a 9-Shot Challenge alongside a women’s tournament. The virtual competition is open to all at participating Toptracer Range locations across the world. Live leaderboards will be available online at toptracer.com/9shotchallenge. Toptracer has teamed up with the USGA to offer prizes to the top players globally.
With a pair of tickets to either the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst or the 2024 U.S. Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club up for grabs – along with a $500 American Express gift card – to the top five men and top 5 women globally, the 9-Shot Challenge will see participants hit approach shots on nine different virtual golf holes at Pebble Beach, as they battle it out for the top spot on global leaderboards.
Testing golfers’ approach play, participants will see where they rank in real-time throughout the duration of the U.S. Women’s Open – with each player’s score determined by the sum of their distances across all nine holes. The lower they score, the higher they will appear on the leaderboard.
In addition to the 9-Shot Challenge, golfers can virtually play Pebble Beach exclusively at Toptracer’s 550-plus eligible driving ranges, allowing more golfers than ever before to test themselves against one of the world’s more famous courses.
