The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, a 433-room hotel located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach, has completed a $2 million renovation of its pre-function spaces and meeting rooms. The resort’s guest rooms were completely renovated in 2018.
The beachfront property is a favorite for leisure and group business travelers thanks to its prime oceanfront location, amenities, including Heavenly Spa and award Lona Cocina & Tequileria, one of the best Mexican restaurants in South Florida.
The $2 million renovation encompassed new carpets, flooring, lighting, and millwork as well as refurbished airwalls and refreshed artwork, along with a reconfiguration of foyer space, which created more pre-function space. The new carpet features sea turtles as part of an overall design theme embraced by the property, which lies within one of the more popular nesting areas for sea turtles, with a nesting season that runs from May 1 to October 31. The re-design is by hospitality design team Wilson Ishihara.
“As one of South Florida’s premier hotels offering stellar event and meeting space, we are always looking for ways to maintain our status as a coveted destination for attendees and meeting planners. No detail can be overlooked when it comes to the comfort and needs of our guests,’’ said resort General Manager John Allan.
