Ohana Real Estate Investors has named Andrew Whitelaw as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of Panther National, a private golf community and club in Palm Beach Gardens. Whitelaw, a PGA Master who most recently led Aronimink Golf Club through the 2026 PGA Championship, joins Panther National on Dec. 1. His strategic appointment reflects Ohana’s commitment to strengthening club operations and delivering an elevated, service-driven membership experience as Panther National continues to evolve as one of South Florida’s premier private golf communities.
One of the more high-profile private golf clubs in South Florida, Panther National is bordered by a 2,400-acre protected nature preserve. The community centers on the Jack Nicklaus/Justin Thomas designed course, complemented by a nearly 60,000-square-foot clubhouse and resort-style amenities including dining, spa and wellness, pools and racquet sports.
Ohana acquired Panther National this past July, marking the firm’s first equity investment in Florida. Set across 400 acres and surrounded by a 2,400-acre protected nature preserve, the community centers on an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and Justin Thomas, which is the only course designed by the legendary pair. Since taking ownership, Ohana has focused on strengthening the club’s leadership and operations, enhancing amenities and elevating the Member experience, further solidifying Panther National’s long-term success as one of the premier private golf and residential communities in Palm Beach County.
“Bringing a best-in-class leader to Panther National has been one of our highest priorities since acquiring the community, and we’re proud to put a true industry leader in this important role,” said Eddie Yu Partner, Head of Acquisitions at Ohana. “Andrew has led some of the most respected clubs in the world and guided Aronimink through a major championship. His experience, and genuine commitment to members, make him the right person to lead Panther National into its next chapter.”
The appointment reflects the strength of Ohana’s vertically integrated platform, providing a unique combination of investment, development, residential brokerage and operations capabilities to private residential communities and clubs. Ohana’s residential platform has developed more than 3.7 million square feet of residential communities and amenities, including Twin Dolphin in Los Cabos, and its residential brokerage has closed more than $3.4 billion in transactions across its portfolio.
At Panther National, Whitelaw will lead day-to-day operations, overseeing the prestigious golf and club operations as well as spearheading the membership and residential experience. He joins from Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, where, as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager since 2022, he led the club through the 108th PGA Championship in May 2026. In September 2026,
The PGA of Great Britain and Ireland) named Whitelaw a PGA Master Manager, making him only the fourth person ever to earn the designation.
“Panther National has the golf foundation, ownership commitment and ambition to become one of the most exceptional private club communities in the country,” said Whitelaw. “Ohana has a clear vision for Panther’s future, with a focus on its membership and establishing standards that will guide the club for years to come. I look forward to working with our team and members to turn that vision into a lasting legacy.”
With new leadership in place and meaningful enhancements underway across the club and community,Panther National is well positioned for the season ahead. Ohana is accelerating the next release of private homes and homesites, which will be available in late October.
Founded in 2009, the firm invests in premier properties where human connection thrives, focusing on key urban and resort markets across North America. Ohana manages nearly $4 billion on behalf of a global investor base through dedicated equity and credit fund strategies.
