Thinking about an island getaway? Consider Fripp Island, a barrier island off the Southern tip of South Carolina, 18 miles from Beaufort, whose centerpiece, Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort features three miles of uninterrupted coastlines, two golf courses, five swimming pools, 10 restaurants and a 62-slip marina with boat rental options. And that’s just for starters.
For example, since acquiring the resort in January 2023 for an undisclosed amount, Seascape Hospitality Group. has invested millions, including the addition of Camelot Farms Equestrian Center to the resort’s offerings. The initial investments are part of a bold 10-year plan to bolster the resort that will transform facilities, including the Beach Club, to ensure that the magic of Fripp Island continues for future generations. Co-owned by golf and hospitality industry veterans Joe Guerra and Adam Fuller, Seascape Hospitality Group is a proven leader in the golf and hospitality industry.
The Resort this past October completed a multi-million dollar renovation of its acclaimed Ocean Point golf course – led by the Dye Designs Group – to modernize the original George Cobb layout. The course is now open for member and guest play.

The acclaimed mother-son architect team, Cynthia Dye McGarey and Matt McGarey reshaped more than 50 bunkers and added 11 new greenside bunkers. DDG also incorporated new fairway bunkers, added 5.5 acres of waste area, and added and or leveled multiple tee boxes and constructed native dunes to increase both play and visual appeal. The result is that Ocean Point (6,523 yards, par 72) now takes its place as one of the top resort courses in the Southeast.
Ocean Creek Golf Club – designed by PGA Champion Davis Love III and Paul Cowley opened in 1995. It’s a masterwork of Lowcountry design (6,392 yards, par 71), incorporating sweeping views of saltwater marshes, freshwater lagoons, lush jungle vegetation and four distinctive rolling dune ridges.
Sectioned into five residential complexes easily traversable by golf cars, Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort has more than 2,000 homes – with many year-round residents – and more than 200 vacation rentals, including a variety of pet-friendly options.
The Resort offers four kinds of residents memberships and two kinds of non-resident memberships.
The island’s pristine saltwater marshlands are ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding, and Camelot Farms Equestrian Center offers beachfront horseback rides.
Don’t pass on the Fish Tacos at the Resort’s Bonita Boathouse or the steak and seafood options at The Beach Club.
In fact, don’t pass on Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort. It’s a paradise unto itself.
