Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort & Spa has named Raul Duran as its Director of Food and Beverage, managing banquet operations and the property’s food and beverage outlets, including the wildly-popular, high-volume restaurant Lona Cocina & Tequileria as well as Tinta, Waves Bar & Grill and Lavazza Café. The resort – in the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach – is one of the top resort destinations in South Florida.

Prior to his appointment at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach, Raul’s most recent resort leadership position was as director of operations, food and beverage at The Boca Raton, where he was directly responsible for food and beverage operations, including four signature restaurants from Major Food Group. Prior to that role, he served as senior director of food and beverage at KLS Resorts’ Camelback Resort in Tannersville, PA.
Duran has also held director and management positions at COMO Hotel & Resorts in Miami Beach, The Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, FL.,and 1 Hotel South Beach. In addition, he served as an independent consultant for luxury hotels and restaurants, including Cheeca Lodge in Islamorada and Boston Harbor Hotel.
