Pinktada and Casa de Campo Resort & Villas are partnering on a pioneering new way of harnessing non-fungible tokens (NFT) for the hospitality industry. The companies have created a membership-based platform, architected on blockchain technology, which each says will “totally change’’ the way hotel reservations are made.
Through the partnership, Casa de Campo guests can now reserve rooms with fully transferable Room Night Tokens (RNTs), as well as view amenities and accommodations before booking via virtual tour.
Pinktada says RNTs behaves just like a ticket. The traveler can use the RNT to stay in the specific room on the specific night, just like a reservation, or they can sell or swap it on the platform. Every RNT has its own price, determined by the market.
Located in the Domican Republic, Casa de Campo is one of the Caribbean’s more popular golf and family destinations. Spread across 7,000 acres, Casa de Campo features 63 holes of golf, including Pete Dye’s legendary Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore layout. The resort also offers a Golf Learning Center with Trackman technology; a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club; Polo & Equestrian Club;, the La Terraza Tennis Center; 245-acre Shooting Club and Altos de Chavon – an artisan’s village modeled after a 16th century Mediterranean city.
The resort’s Minitas Beach offers everything from water sports to massages.
This spring, Casa de Campo will open The Premier Club at Casa de Campo that will include 58 luxury suites: 26 Premier Junior Suites (King Sized Beds), 27 Premier Junior Suites (Double Beds), four Premier One – Bedroom Suites, and one Premier Presidential Suite. Each suite will offer luxury amenities not found in other parts of the hotel, such as, an exclusive Premier Club golf cart for traveling throughout the resort, private concierge service and nightly turndown service, and a customized pillow and aromatherapy menu.
