Members of Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club have ensured that Vero Beach, FL., families in need will have a special holiday season as a result of its annual holiday toy drive to benefit Operation Hope Florida . The Club earlier this moth hosted its annual Operation Hope Holiday Toy Drive Cocktail Reception that featured creative bites by Executive Chef Chris Sozio.
More than 150 Orchid Island members donated a treasure trove of holiday mementos, including toys, bikes, and electronics. These items benefit Operation Hope Florida’s mission to provide holiday gifts to disadvantaged children year after year.
Operation Hope Florida’s President and Founder Jesse Zermeno visited Orchid Island to pick up more than 200 unwrapped gifts that will be distributed at the nonprofit’s annual Santa Claus Christmas Festival in Fellsmere, FL
“Our residents eagerly look forward to this time of year,” said Orchid Island’s General Manager Rob Tench. “We love collaborating with Operation Hope Florida, and bringing happiness to families and children is what makes the holidays truly special.”
Orchid Island is a private and intimate residential golf course community, offering waterfront and golf course homes, an Arnold Palmer-designed golf course, tennis and fitness center, and a Beach Club.
