Miami in 2025 will continue to bring innovative new – and some cases familiar – to the eclectic South Florida culinary scene.
Here’s a primer of three new restaurants to look for:
Rosemary’s Miami
New York hospitality group Casa Nela, well-known for its two Rosemary’s locations in the East and West villages, will debut its first South Florida location in Wynwood in early 2025. Opening in January 2025, Rosemary’s is an Italian restaurant that specializes in handmade pasta and great cocktails. Named after his mother, Carlos Suarez founded Rosemary’s in 2012, as an homage to her home-cooked meals and vegetable garden among the hills of Lucca, Italy.
Hereford Grill
Hereford Grill, one of Miami’s pre-eminent dining destinations for 25 years, which closed in 2021 during the COVID pandemic, has been acquired by Da Silva Hospitality and will re-open in its original location at 782 NW 42nd Avenue after an extensive redesign of the space and menu refresh. When its doors open, guests will encounter a contemporary steakhouse with food and beverage that pays homage to Miami’s “melting pot’’ status as a multicultural city and international tourist destination.
Hereford Grill (Da Silva Hospitality)
While it will incorporate flavors, textures, and techniques from Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Mediterranean, the heart of Hereford will be its top-quality meat program. The restaurant, opening in January 2025, will seat approximately 250 indoors and out, with plenty of room for large groups for festive events and a private dining room.
Zuccaly
Zuccaly (Da Silva Hospitality)
Da Silva Hospitality, owner of Miami’s Coral Gables neighborhood favorite, Zucca, will expand its interest in all things Italian with Zuccaly, an Italian Food Hall with a multi-concept gourmet food and drink experience. Occupying more than 9,000 square feet with a capacity of 190 seats at The Plaza at Coral Gables, Zuccaly will offer six different dining and market experiences. Guests can sample food from LaBiga (pizzeria), a pasta concept, a grill and fish station, PortaVia – a gastro market offering both dine-in and take-home options, and a Dolci station featuring a delightful array of desserts and gelato. Set to open in February 2025, Zuccaly will also have a bar area featuring fine Italian and global wines, Italian craft beers, and cocktails.
