–Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, a premier destination along Northwest Florida’s Emerald Coast, has completed $35M property-wide renovation to celebrate its 40-year anniversary in 2024.
“We couldn’t be prouder that our team has successfully completed the renovation of our property with the final touches around the indoor pool, following a major property-wide upgrade and a investment. Forty years ago, we were one of the first to have the vision to bring this kind of resort to life – not only in Florida but in the entire Northwest Panhandle,” said Angelina Covington, the resort’s general manager.
Northwest Florida’s largest full-service beachfront resort hotel, Hilton Sandestin sits directly along the newly renamed “Gulf of America.” This historic name change, made by President Donald Trump, according to Covington, has been met with enthusiasm by guests who enjoy being steps away from one of the world’s more beautiful private stretches of coastline in South Walton, FL.
The updated indoor pool area will feature a sleek, modern design, comfortable new furniture and non-slip, low-impact flooring for safety. The two-level pool will be evened out, bringing the whirlpool to the same height as the main pool, making the space more accessible. Floor-to-ceiling windows now offer stunning Gulf views, while new water features with LED lighting create a magical atmosphere for evening swims.
“It’s a true joy to welcome families, couples, and guests back year after year,” said Covington. “We’ve become part of their stories, and seeing the smiles they return with is something we treasure. With the indoor pool renovation – along with our $35 million property-wide upgrade – the resort has only become more of a place to create lasting memories.”
Northwest Florida’s largest full-service beachfront resort hotel features 590 guestrooms, including 400 junior suites. In addition, Hilton Sandestin has more than 62,500 square feet of meeting and event space, a spa and fitness center, six on-site seasonal dining venues ,12 HydroGrid clay tennis courts, and a full-service marina.
