Restaurant partners Chef Pushkar Marathe and Andy Dugard plan to bring two of their concepts to the CityPlace dining/shopping district in downtown West Palm Beach. Ela Curry & Cocktails and Mango Mercado will open side-by-side, with an opening slated for mid-2025. This follows the recent announcement that their first concept, Stage Kitchen & Bar, in early 2025 will open a second location in Boca Raton.
“When the opportunity presented itself, we knew CityPlace would be a great location for Ela Curry & Cocktails and Mango Mercado,” Marathe said. “This vibrant urban destination, where workplaces, residences, and culture come together, and the proximity to Brightline (train) will expose Ela and Mango Mercado to a thriving and growing demographic.”
Ela Curry & Cocktails, Marathe said, will bring its culturally focused Indian cuisine to the diverse offering at CityPlace, while Mango Mercado – a playground for Chef Marathe’s culinary inspirations – will fill a void for grab-n-go and fast-casual “where flavor and quality are not sacrificed because it is quick and easy,” as described by Marathe.
Ela diners will have a dynamic selection of street food and fresh, daring regional Indian dishes inspired by Marathe’s experiences growing up in India. A full beverage program featuring inventive, seasonal cocktails will accentuate the cuisine and define Ela as a place to gather with family and friends.
Marathe and Dugard joined forces in 2019 with a shared vision of the restaurant experiences they wanted to develop. In 2020, they opened Stage Kitchen & Bar in Palm Beach Gardens – recently named one of USA Today’s Restaurants of 2024. With Stage firmly established in the hearts of the Palm Beach Gardens community, Marathe and Dugard opened Ela Curry Kitchen in 2022. Within one year itsevolved as Ela Curry & Cocktails in a newly expanded location.

Marathe and Dugard each see CityPlace as the ideal second location for Mango Mercado, Ela’s sister restaurant, since it provides the perfect audience for Mango Mercado’s grab-and-go ready-made items, made-to-order breakfast and lunch sandwiches, soups, salads, and more. Fan favorites like the Turkey Club, “The Coronation,” and Marathe’s take on the Greek Salad have rapidly put Mango Mercado on the map at its first location in Palm Beach Gardens.
