Doberman Drawing Room, Corner Bar Management’s much-anticipated cocktail bar opening this April in Downtown Las Vegas’ Arts District, has named acclaimed mixologist Juyoung Kang as its head of beverage. Doberman will offer an inventive cocktail experience that merges old-world craftsmanship with modern innovation.

Kang, a celebrated force in the world of mixology, brings a wealth of experience to Doberman, having honed her craft at some of the most prestigious bars in the country. Her visionary approach to cocktails embraces global influences, with an emphasis on balanced, nuanced flavors inspired by her travels and collaborations with industry leaders worldwide. She joins Corner Bar from her most recent role as director of beverage development for Fontainebleau, where the resort’s Collins Bar was named among Esquire’s “Best Bars of America” under Kang’s direction.

“Every menu I create follows a theme, providing a deeper layer of perception and storytelling,” said Kang. “With Doberman, I was drawn to the concept of old world meets new, modernizing classic cocktails while incorporating global flavors. I want guests to experience a passport to different cultures through each sip, embracing the complexities of Eastern European and Asian influences in a way that’s fresh, bold and forward-thinking.”

Doberman’s cocktail program, pulled from a library of more than 100 spirits, will reflect Kang’s philosophy of balance, drawing from health and wellness principles to create a curated selection of drinks that transcend traditional boundaries. Each cocktail will be thoughtfully composed to ensure a well-rounded, complex, and deeply satisfying experience. The menu will feature an array of signature drinks that modernize classic styles while elevating beyond national trends to a forward-thinking, international approach.

A sampling of Doberman’s signature creations includes:

  • Big in Japan – A clarified milk punch that brings together fruit, vegetables and yogurt, this cocktail plays on the phrase that symbolizes success in another world. Featuring gin, green plum, watermelon and Japanese kefir, it delivers a refreshing yet complex profile.
  • Tom Kha Fizz – Inspired by the classic Thai soup, this cream-charged Ramos Fizz incorporates gin, lime, tom yum spices, bird’s eye chili, cream, coconut and egg whites for a rich yet balanced sip.
  • The Continental – A sophisticated twist on the New York Sour, this cocktail combines rye, ancho chili, passion fruit, lemon and red wine foam, bringing together grain, fruit and spice in a dynamic way.

“Juyoung is a true artist in her craft,” said Ryan Doherty, the founder of Corner Bar Management. “Her ability to blend technical mastery with an intuitive sense of flavor makes her the perfect fit for Doberman. She’s redefining what a cocktail program can be—not just in Las Vegas, but on a global scale.”

Membership applications to Doberman Drawing Room are linked here, are open now, with invitations extended starting March 1. Selection is based on personality and passion rather than status, offering access to members-only nights and curated, concierge-like experiences. Doberman’s environment will be shaped by intentionality, with a reservation requirement and select allowances for walk-in guests.

Designed for both intimacy and energy, Doberman spans 3,400 square feet, featuring heavy woods, luxurious booths, semi-private seating, and an atrium garden. The moody, 19th-century-inspired ambiance balances quiet retreats with vibrant social spaces.

Guided by Doherty, Corner Bar Management has singularly shaped the downtown Las Vegas cocktail bar experience with several avant-garde destinations including The Laundry Room, Commonwealth, Lucky Day and Cheapshot. Each reflects a distinctive personality fashioned by art, design and mixology.
