Concert Golf Partners has completed the first phase of $2 million in major renovations at The Club at Pasadera, upgrading key infrastructure at the exclusive private club designed by Jack Nicklaus on the Monterey Peninsula.

Concert Golf was selected by a group of 12 member-owners of The Club at Pasadera as their successor at the close of last year. Concert has upgraded the wells, pumps, irrigation, clubhouse roof, windows, doors, kitchen equipment, and HVAC, as well as course visibility with enhanced playability for golfers of all handicap levels, and more. This first $1 million phase of capital investment at Pasadera was completed in just six months.

The upcoming second phase of upgrades will be mostly member-facing, with an additional $1 million of renovations planned for the iconic, California hacienda-style clubhouse, including an expanded outdoor seating area, wine lockers, and more. These additional capital expenditures are expected to start before the end of the year.

“The members are extremely grateful for what Concert Golf Partners has done and the speed at which they’ve done things,” said Pasadera member and previous co-owner, Chris Laver. “The improvements are critically important, and Concert recognized that right away. The results speak for themselves.”

The Club at Pasadera is one of 34 upscale, private clubs in the Concert Golf portfolio, along with prestigious facilities,, such as: TPC Jasna Polana (Princeton, N.J.), Gaillardia Country Club (Oklahoma City), The Club at Longview (Charlotte), The Club at Renaissance (Fort Myers, Fla.), Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club and Northgate Country Club (each near Houston).

The only Nicklaus-designed golf course in Monterey, The Club at Pasadera was described earlier this year by member Jim Nantz as “spectacular” and “one of the underrated gems of California golf.” It offers not only challenging and strategic play, but also breathtaking panoramas of the Pacific coastline and surrounding hillsides. The 6,673-yard, par-71 golf course carries a 73.7 course rating and a slope of 143.

The recent upgrades to the golf course were designed to both elevate Pasadera and maintain sustainability.

“With over $1 million in investment from Concert Golf, the course is on an amazing trajectory,” said Pasadera General Manager, James Hippe. “I’ve heard numerous members say that the course is in the best condition they can remember, including many founding members who have been here since the beginning nearly 25 years ago. In addition to the world-class golf and facilities, Pasadera has a tremendous sense of community and one of the most welcoming atmospheres in the country.”

“To enhance the playability and aesthetics of Pasadera, we’ve focused on proper tree care to protect and preserve the natural beauty and health of the oak trees, which creates a better golf experience for all and protects homeowner values,” said The Club at Pasadera Superintendent, Brad Coleman.

Since January 2024, dozens of new members have joined The Club at Pasadera. The club also plans to raise more than $100,000 through its TCAP Cares Foundation for donations to local charities.
