Representatives from Cantigny Golf, The McCormick Foundation, KemperSports, and Quitno Golf Design gathered today to celebrate the start of a three-year renovation project that will reinvigorate each of the three, nine-hole courses starting with Hillside this year. The renovation project is the evolution and modernization of Cantigny Golf’s 35-year commitment to delivering one of the best golf experiences in Chicagoland public golf.
“This is an incredibly proud day for all of us at Cantigny Golf,” said Tim Knight – CEO, McCormick Foundation. “This renovation will ensure the long-term playability of our classic public golf course while highlighting the beautiful natural setting of Cantigny Park.”
With the renovation work being done by renowned golf course architect, Todd Quitno, the renovation will move to Woodside (2025) and Lakeside (2026). During that time, 18 holes will remain open. In addition to an updated irrigation system, the renovation will open site lines throughout the course to highlight the unique natura beauty of the property.
“Cantigny Golf has always been committed to delivering an exceptional golf experience while also growing the game of golf,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “This renovation reiterates that commitment to maintaining Cantigny as one of the best courses in the Chicago area and the country.”
