Calusa Country Club, a new Gordon Lewis-designed 18-hole golf course in Lakewood Ranch, FL., now is open for public play. Managed by Troon, The Club is a Lennar Homes development, and part of the polar Lakewood Ranch community near Sarasota.
Lewis seamlessly incorporates elevation changes and contours in the layout, creating a masterpiece of beauty and playability. The course features Tif Eagle greens, Bimini fairways, and beautiful white sand bunkers. Water comes into play on all 18 holes, providing both challenge and visual appeal. Additional golf amenities include an aqua range and short game practice area. Future golf amenities include a putting course and a 12-hole course (also designed by Lewis).
