The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, FL., on Feb. 12 at 6 pm will host wine enthusiasts for an evening filled with fine wine and cuisine at the historic hotel’s elegant Fontana Restaurant. Guests will receive can a selection of Italian wine, paired with a multi-course menu showcasing regional Italian dishes.
The Biltmore’s Chef Vladimir Blanes, along with Sommelier Jorge Lopez, curated a menu that includes Italian dishes such as Carpaccio di Fragole and Vongole allo Zafferano presenting a culinary experience that will align perfectly.
The evening will commence with a Carpaccio di Fragole which includes thinly sliced strawberries, parmigiana Reggiano and aged balsami. Followed by Vongole allo Zaffareno with bite-size neck clams, saffron broth and garlic crostini. Rissoto al Gargonzola with carnaloni rice, gorgonzola dolce, and poached pears. Ossobuco di Vitello with braised veal ossobuco and baby arugula salad. End the night with Parrozo Abruzzese, a chocolate almond cake.
