JJARANA Aventura, an authentic, yet approachable Peruvian cuisine and pisco bar concept, has launched its “Jaraneando’’ Sunday Brunch service in the trendy North Miami enclave. JARANA, this past March, as a lunch and dinner spot. It quickly established itself as a destination for discovering the deliciously diverse cuisine and joyful spirit of Peruvian culture.

The brunch menu echoes the lunch and dinner menus, taking guests on a culinary adventure through Peru and its Japanese, Chinese and Italian influences, while adding playful and comforting elements that reflect the relaxed, convivial nature of brunch.

“Brunch has traditionally been a celebration, so it’s a natural fit for JARANA, whose name is the Peruvian term for ‘spontaneous celebration,’” says Executive Chef Martha Palacios. “Our team is excited to extend our jarana to Sunday brunch with a menu of new dishes that bring a Peruvian perspective to brunch classics they know and love.”

The brunch menu at JARANA Aventura, expertly crafted by Chef Jesus Delgado, JARANA’S Corporate Executive Chef, and Aventura’s Executive Chef Martha Palacios, introduces standout dishes that boast the bold, bright flavors of authentic Peruvian cuisine, along with comfortingly familiar combinations that make each one highly approachable. Among these are the Seco Benedicto, a Peruvian nod to eggs Benedict featuring shredded short rib over tacu-tacu, a seared bean-and-rice patty, topped with two poached eggs and aji amarillo hollandaise, and the Steak & Eggs Anticuchero, where a 12-ounce New York strip is marinated, grilled and served with chimichurri roasted potatoes, a fried egg and huacatay sauce.

Some classic brunch dishes, such as avocado toast and chicken and waffles, benefit from a Peruvian twist. Subtly salty queso andino tops the Avocado Toast with avocado mash and a fried egg, and a waffle made with pumpkin-and-sweet-potato picaron dough accompanies the crispy fried chicken in the Waffle & Chicken dish.

JARANA brunch also offers traditional dishes, including the Leche de Tigre Poderosa with a seafood mix, barrio leche de tigre, cancha, crispy calamari and yuca fries, as well as the shareable Bandeja Cebichera, a bountiful platter of cebicheria favorites, including pulpo al olivo, Hokkaido scallop chalaca, cebiche limeño and coctel de camarones.

JARANA’s cocktail program has a new brunch addition as eye-catching as it is delicious, El Tigre Rojo, a Peruvian-inspired bloody mary mixed with rocoto leche de tigre and generously garnished with fried calamari, pork belly and shrimp.

For the brunch warrior, the ‘Jaraneando’ brunch service is offering a two-hour bottomless Mimosas Royales, featuring six flavors to choose from including classic, chicha morada, maracuyá, lychee, kir royale, and lúcuma. The bar – overlooking the terrace – also offers an extensive array of JARANA’s signature Pisco-based cocktails, alongside handcraft libations and a carefully curated selection of wines and beers.

JARANA is open for brunch on Sundays from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Esplanade at Aventura, located at 19505 Biscayne Blvd., Ste 5150, Aventura, FL 33180, adjacent to the Aventura Mall.
