The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort wants to share five ways guests can get into the festive spirit at the legendary 35-acre beachfront Paradise Island, Bahamas retreat. Here’s a look:
Discover a Sweet Treat that Gives Back: Delight in the gingerbread house by Executive Pastry Chef Philip Warden. This year’s beautiful gingerbread house stationed in the Resort’s lobby has an even sweeter purpose. The Ocean Club invites guests to give back by purchasing a gingerbread brick in support of The Ranfurly Home for Children, which provides a residential facility and on-site school for orphaned children. Guests can visit the front desk to make a donation, and Chef Warden and team will add a name chosen by the guest, written in icing onto a gingerbread brick.
“Shake and Stir” Up the Festive Spirit: Enjoy a signature holiday cocktail within the cozy living room ambiance of the Martini Bar, where the Christmas tree sparkles and the turquoise waters glitter from the picture window view. The Resort’s lobby level Martini Bar, which had an appearance in the 2006 James Bond movie Casino Royale, is the perfect spot to unwind, pre-or-post dinner, with a decadent martini such as the caviar or truffle martini. Don’t miss out on trying a martini flight, where one can order a selection of renowned mixologist Keith Cash’s mini Martinis, to sample several of the refreshing flavours.
Eat, Drink and Be Merry: Guests and locals alike revel in the gourmet options at DUNE by Jean-Georges. The signature oceanside restaurant provides delectable dining options, including fresh lobster with truffle butter, tuna tartare and caviar, and a delicious conch salad. Sunday brunch is an event not to be missed, with fresh delicacies including oysters, crab and more. Situated on a cliff with striking views of the sea, DUNE offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and live music on the weekends. In addition to DUNE, the newly enhanced Ocean Blu, situated next to the Ocean Pool, is now offering dinner service on select nights. On Christmas Day at DUNE, guests can enjoy the Chef’s Special of Japanese wagyu tenderloin or vegan cauliflower steak with wilted spinach, crispy potato, foie gras, truffle jus.
Build a Sandman: It’s “sandman” instead of snowman season on The Ocean Club’s gorgeous stretch of pristine white sand beach. The Resort offers the complimentary Kids For All Seasons club, open daily, and kids can participate in sandman building on the beach and other fun holiday activities. “Snow” making, holiday slime, Christmas Jeopardy, and ugly sweater decorating are just a few of the entertaining activities the Kids For All Seasons team has up their sleeves.
Be Present in Paradise: Sometimes, being present with loved ones is truly the gift that is most needed. The Ocean Club provides ample space to disconnect and unwind, relishing an environment that enables one to stay focused and connected to those who matter most. Guests can stay present with morning yoga set to the sounds of a live cellist, participate in a Resort-led badminton tournament, or explore the shallow waters of The Ocean Club by paddleboard. Snorkelling in the turquoise waters amongs tropical fish, or strolling through the one-of-a-kind Versailles Gardens, also creates an opportunity to de-stress and relax.
